Water, Water, Everywhere
Today was a low energy day, but I had to go outside and grab a shovel to dig a path for the new river that seems to be bubbling up from the ground in a wellsping of water. Being 60 years old (the house, not me) the original watermain pipe from the meter to our house decided to go to the great hereafter before me. Leaking a growing stream of water and creating a new spring right next to our house, creating a lake we really didn't want. Nonetheless I found it necessary to plow out a channel to lead the water away from the foundation and drain the lake. Had I had more time and energy I'm sure I could have devised and installed some small hydroelectric turbines to help generate power from my newly made river. I was overtaken by a simple state of exhaustion and a pressing need to peruse the yellow pages for plumbers. Perhaps tomorrow or until the river is no longer needed (and has been rectified by a plummer) I will try to find an appropriate species of fish to stock it with that may be native to our front yard. I don't know though, I think the turbine sounded more feasible. There being something positive to everything I found great joy in playing in the mud again today.

I love your sense of humor Ken!!
